  1. I read Black Water Rising really early on thanks to a friend who worked with the publisher. I really liked it. Very well written, in my opinion. It reminded me of all I felt when I read Dennis Lehane.

  2. I'm new to your blog and I'm not very familiar with what kind of books your read (other than the title, of course), but...

    I guess the Working Man (cozy) mysteries by L. T. Fawkes (Margo Pierce Dorksen) would fall under this? Terry Saltz is a pizza-delivery guy / carpenter... no unions involved that I recall though.

  3. I said the Working Man Mysteries are cozies - that's how I've seen them referred to on a number of sites. I just wanted to add/correct that in some ways (language for instance) that may not be accurate.
